ADVENTURE TIME
[ The winds feel... different than the sea air she was use to in Fontaine. With no tethers to her lands, she can truly live as she has dreamed of for centuries. To travel where freedom calls for her, where sweet songs were said to come from and perhaps even visit the darting mountains in Liyue.
There was plenty of possibility, the kind that brings Furina right to Katheryne where she's patting the table in front of her anxiously. ]
You mean... no one has accepted the offer? The commission has been posted for four hours! I thought this land was full of curious adventurers! That is what the Steambird has stated!
[ However, despite her pout, she isn't rude. Muttering softly to herself, Furina stews: maybe I can find a way to go out myself.
But – she isn't going to give up. ]
W-What if I double payment? Surely, there's someone willing to give tours to weary travelers!

But fortune favors the bold, as they say. A young voice calls out to Katheryne nearby, as if answering Furina's plight.]
Did I just hear that right, Katheryne? There's an unclaimed commission waiting to be taken on? Just leave it to me! If she's looking for a tour guide, I don't think anybody knows the hidden nooks and crannies of Mondstadt better than I do!
[If Katheryne's face was capable of showing emotion, her eye would be twitching right now. Although she was well aware of Bennett's skill as an adventurer, she was equally aware of the dark clouds of misfortune that followed him everywhere. Surely, allowing him to guide an esteemed guest such as Furina was...]

[ There was only a small child available and Klee was not suited to escort anyone. Katheryne knew of all of the registered 'Knights' and 'Adventurers' in her ledger, they were limited.
...Kaeya was the one that insisted Klee be added, if only to impress her.
The young voice has Furina snap her gaze to the source. Someone so boldly and unashamedly lays claim to such knowledge that grips her chin in thought. He's a showman, at least, in the same way Mister Lyney was too...
Commanding attention. ]
Dare I be bold to question that claim? The winds of Mondstadt are ever changing, through acts of life and changes to scenery. Do you have... experience in providing guidance to wayward travelers, Mister...?
shhhh it's fine
I'm Bennett, leader of Benny's Adventure Team! [A confident smile adorns Bennett's face as he introduces himself to her, as he gives her his trademark thumbs up. A whole adventure team, here for Furina!]
As for experience, well... I dunno if I'd go as far as to call myself a tour guide, [that's Paimon's schtick] but it's true I know all the best sights in Mondstadt! I even escorted a gentleman from Fontaine all around Mondstadt a while back! He seemed to really like what I had to show him, so job well done, right...?

Her eyes become a bit more narrow, sympathetic in a way. ]
D-Did you? [ If someone from Fontaine found comfort here, freedom... maybe – just maybe...? ] So if your credentials are not aligned with a tour guide, perhaps the land of wayward winds and gusts that guide one are all that is needed for such a thing. Perhaps adventure is the only thing to be given to visitors, tired and curious. How long have you lived in Mondstadt, Monsieur Bennett?

She'll just... quietly start drafting up the paperwork for this commission.]
Almost my whole life, I'd say! [Another cheerful, devil-may-care smile flashes across his face as he answers her question.] I'm probably biased, but I'd say the adventures to be had and the sights to be seen here in Mondstadt can't be beat by anything else in Teyvat!
[A beat, and then...]
Of course, I haven't really ventured much outside of Mondstadt, haha.

Oh, well, that's an easy one! You've gotta try the Sweet Madame from Good Hunter! The sweetness of the flowers with the meat just can't be beat! [Bennett truly missed his calling as a salesman.] You know, some people around town believe that Sweet Madame should only be made from pigeons, but I dunno... That doesn't seem like it'd be enough food? Well... It'd do if you needed it to go on an adventure with, I guess.

[He repeats back the words Furina had suggested.]
Mmm... I dunno, isn't that a little too on the nose?
[It sounds like it would limit the dish to just pigeons then.]
Besides, in my opinion, it doesn't matter what kind of meat you use. I've had Sweet Madame made from all sorts of different fowl and it all tastes about the same to me. What really matters is the Sweet Flower glaze that it's cooked in!
[He is hardly a food connoisseur. Meat is meat and meat is delicious to him.] C'mon, I promise once you try it, you'll see it can't be beat!

[ Furina is calling Mondstadt poor, it's true. ]
I will try this dish, however, as traveling is quite a tiring feat. [ Especially traveling without any stopping! She bee-lined it right to Mondstadt after she got the idea in her head to go explore. ...Perhaps, she thinks, she could find a slumbering Anemo Archon during this travel too. ] If this is what welcomes the wary and curious, guide us to where we order such a dish. ...A-and with extra Sweet Flower glaze on the side, too, o'Tour Guide.

[Was that supposed to be a good thing? The way he sounds so proud of it, it must be a good thing, right? ...Right?]
Anyway, to Good Hunter, then!
[He pumps his fist in the air, and then points ahead to their destination, which wasn't far at all from their current location, just a short walk up the path to a little restaurant by the fountain.]

Furina notes the smell of cooking meat in the air, of warm bread, and can hear the clang of glasses to toasting friends already seated near Good Hunter. The garb and mannerisms were quite different than Fontaine and it feels...
easy to let her shoulders loosen and her eyes wander around curiously. ]
Is your town's square always like this?
[ When they arrive at Good Hunter, Furina can't help but focus on the fountain – with little children playing with the leaves floating on the surface. ]
Busy, bustling. ...Lively!

[Bennett beams with pride over this fact. Mondstadt may not be as big as Liyue, or full of as many mysteries as Sumeru, or as fancy as Fontaine, but Mondstadt made up for that with heart.
Bennett whirls around, and continues walking backwards now as he does so, gesturing to the beauties of Mondstadt.]
In Mondstadt, we're all free to live our lives however we choose, laughing and loving every moment of them. We can pray, or fight, or cheer, or celebrate. We can carve our own paths through the adventure that is life. Life is the best in Mondstadt, because whatever we do, it's something we chose to do! That's why--

Agh?!
[He lands in the water with a SPLASH. The kids playing nearby let out a giggle at what happened to him, as all eyes are on him now.]
Aww man...

Furina listens to Bennett, caught in the adventurous way he describes his city. That wanderlust in his eyes was not for leaving, she sees it – he wants to know the lands here unlike anyone else! It's endearing, really. She too is following closely behind him and by the time he flops into the fountain – Furina nearly tumbles in right with him!
Her knees catch the edge and the splash hits her a bit but she cares little. ]
A-Are you alright?! [ A hand extends out, confusion washed as much as care. ] I wasn't aware the show had a water-centric finale... but... it is memorable, huh? Here, let me help you.

H-haha, yeah... Yeah, I'm fine. [He smiles cheerily, despite what happened, and firmly grasps her hand. His clothes were soaked, sticking to his body, and the gloves he normally wore were no different, some water seeping out of them as he squeezes her hand. But with her kindness and help offered, he pulls himself out of the water.]
Sorry about that, I should have been watching where I was going. [He scratches the back of his head, with an almost unbothered grin on his face. Like it was no big deal this happened to him, even as water almost pours itself out of his uniform.]
