[ If only Lyney was able to be honest with himself, he could be honest with Lynette too. No talks of Wriothesley beyond him being as "smug as ever" had reached her. The boy wrote her less of his time in the Fortress and more of promises of when he gets out. Asking how her days have been, making up scenarios on which he'd return to her like some valiant hero the moment he can keep his head above water. Lynette is no delicate flower, she's grown from soil not suitable for anyone else. Weaker girls... she can't imagine.

Lyney oversteps at times, wears her trauma as his as a reminder of his failures but she never blames him. Never blames the world, really.

She finds her place, in the shadows and part of a crowd. An accessory, a silent stand-in when needed. Lynette's mouthful was swallowed down harshly when Wriothesley appears and her heart leaps. If he's here –

did something happen? ]

W-Wriothesley – ghk – [ A light cough clears her throat as she closes her book, sets the remaining pastry aside and pats at her chest lightly. ] P-Please, forgive me.

[ Her own tea will come in handy, a soft brew infused with dandelion from Mondstadt. Fitting, she knows, but – it was coincidental. Once she's able to swallow down her initial shock, Lynette motions for him to sit. ]

His Grace on the surface is a sight few see, unless they're escorted to the Fortress directly.
